Palo Alto, Calif. - Online social network Facebook now claims more than 150 million active users — almost half of whom are visiting the site daily — founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced in a blog post on Wednesday.
"This includes people in every continent — even Antarctica. If Facebook were a country, it would be the eighth most populated in the world, just ahead of Japan, Russia and Nigeria," Zuckerberg wrote.
The five-year-old social network is now available in more than 35 languages and accessible in 170 countries and territories.
