MyMajorCompany Gets $4.1 Million for Fan-Financed Albums

Los Angeles - MyMajorCompany, a French start-up that allows fans to finance recordings for emerging artists, has received a $4.1 million investment from Stephane Courbit, a former Endemol France executive, Variety reports.

In return, Courbit will acquire a 49% stake in the company.

MyMajorCompany funded a single from artist Gregoire, whose album sold 240,000 copies, and is set to launch a new release from Agonie with about $95,400 in fan funding.
