Los Angeles - Online casual games site Café.com has sold its Boonty digital distribution platform to France-based Nexway, a provider of online distribution services in Europe, GigaOM reported.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Café.com, which launched in May 2008 and counts 5 million active monthly players, told GigaOM the sale will allow it to focus on growing its games site.

Founded in 2002, Nexway offers a white-label digital distribution platform for some 500 publishers, and served an estimated one million legal downloads in 2008.
