games site Café.com has sold its Boonty digital distribution platform to France-based
Nexway, a provider of online distribution services in Europe,
GigaOM reported.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Café.com,
which launched in May 2008 and counts 5 million active monthly players, told
GigaOM the sale will allow it to focus on growing its games site.
Founded in
2002, Nexway offers a white-label digital distribution platform for some 500
publishers, and served an estimated one million legal downloads in 2008.
