Seoul - Nurien Software, the developer of a fashion-themed virtual world, has raised $10 million in a second round of financing, VentureBeat reported.

Investors included Northern Light Venture Capital, Globespan Capital Partners, New Enterprise Associates and QiMing Venture Partners.

Seoul, South Korea-based Nurien launched its virtual world in Korea in beta in September, and plans international launches later this year.

The company offers more realistic virtual avatars than competitors like Second Life, VentureBeat noted.

Nurien previously raised $15 million in April 2007.
