Honolulu - eBay founder Pierre Omidyar has co-founded a new venture, a twitter client called Ginx, and raised around $2 million in financing for the company, PEHub.com reported, citing a regulatory filing.

Peer News Inc., doing business as Ginx, was co-founded by fellow eBay executive Randy Ching. The service aims tol enable Twitter users to share and discuss links.

Ginx is currently in private pre-alpha testing. "Peer News expects to make Ginx available to more users later this year," reads a statement from the company.
