Montreal - Bluestreak Technology, the provider of a Flash-based engine that runs rich media applications like mobile TV, has raised $4 million in new financing from its major shareholders.

Previous investors have included BDC Venture Capital, Entrepia Ventures, First Capital Group Management and Iris Capital Management.

Montreal-based Bluestreak says its MachBlue Player is already deployed on millions of mobile phones and set-top boxes, deployed by partners including Orange, Thomson and Time Warner Cable.

The company also announced that it has named Dominique Jodoin as its new CEO. Previously, Jodoin was an executive at Red Bend Software and Alcatel.
