San Mateo, Calif. - Ohai, a game developer focused on massively multiplayer and social games, has raised an undisclosed sum of funding from August Capital and Rustic Canyon Partners, VentureBeat reported.

The San Mateo, Calif.-based company was founded by a team that includes former Sony Online Entertainment creative director and executive producer Scott Hartsman, and technical director Don Neufeld.

VentureBeat noted that the company has not disclosed much about itself on its website, other than that it is currently seeking to hire engineers.
