Boston - WordStream, a provider of search engine marketing services, on Wednesday announced its launch with $4 million in first round funding from Sigma Partners.

Boston-based WordStream also announced the appointment of Rob Adler, co-founder and former president of financial services firm CCBN, as president and CEO.

Founded in 2008, WordStream provides a search engine marketing and search engine optimization application that it says improves productivity, relevance and value from campaigns.
