Brisbane, Calif. - Glam Media, a network of women's and men's websites with more than 900 publishers, said that it has acquired AdaptiveAds, a developer of display ad targeting and optimization technology based in San Francisco and India.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Samir Arora, Glam's chairman and CEO, said that adding AdaptiveAds to the fold will provide "insight into how ads behave with different audiences," while allowing brands to act on the knowledge.

With the acquisition, Glam plans to open an office in Mumbai, India and establish an engineering presence in Pune, India.

AdaptiveAds' U.S.-based employees will join Glam's ad products team in Brisbane, Calif.

Glam expects a net addition of approximately 20 new employees, bringing its total to 200.
