Paris - French mobile network operator Orange has lost a legal bid to reinstate its exclusive deal to distribute Apple's (NASD: AAPL) iPhone in the country, Reuters reported. The Paris Appeal Court said that the deal, which gave Orange exclusive distribution rights for five years, was excessively long and could damage competition in the French mobile market. French wireless carrier Bouygues Telecom told Reuters it was in talks with Apple and expected to begin selling the iPhone itself soon.
