- iWidgets, a provider of social media and portal syndication services for
publishers, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $4.1 million in first
round funding, led by Opus Capital and University Venture Fund.
Founded in
2007, San Francisco-based iWidgets' Social Syndication technology helps
publishers syndicate and monetize content on social sites like Facebook, MySpace
and iGoogle.
The company also named Geoff Katz, who currently serves on the
board of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, as vice president of
business development and marketing.
