Washington - As President Obama continues to sell his economic stimulus package, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) -- chaired by Virginia Governor Tim Kaine -- is taking a page from his tech-savvy campaign by asking supporters to provide stories to a special website about how the difficult economy has affected their lives.

"America needs to hear how this crisis is affecting your life and why the economic recovery plan is important to you and your community," reads the site, which is being run by Organizing for America, part of the DNC.

The stories, which will be made public, can be provided by text, video or photo.

In addition, the organization has set up a toll free number to record stories by phone.

The Obama administration has relied heavily of the Internet, upgrading the White House's website and making frequent use of video site YouTube.
