Barcelona - Manufacturer HTC and wireless carrier Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) on Wednesday introduced the HTC Magic smartphone, to date the second mobile phone to be powered by Google's (NASD: GOOG) Android mobile operating system.

The device does not include a standard keyboard, instead relying on a 3.2-inch touch-screen display; it also features a 3.2-megapixel camera and support for Wi-Fi and GPS.

The Magic will be offered initially only via Vodafone in the U.K., Spain, Germany and France, and non-exclusively through Vodafone in Italy.

The Android-powered phone will include options for Gmail and Google Talk, as well as applications like Maps, Search and YouTube.
