Anti-Piracy Group Gets ISPs to Nix 35 Blogs in Latin America
Los Angeles - Anti-piracy
forces of the music and movie industries have worked with Internet service
providers in Latin America to take 35 blogs
offline that were allegedly involved in music and film piracy, Billboard
reported.
The actions were taken at the behest of ACPM Mexico, a joint venture
of the IFPI, an international record label trade group, and the Motion Picture
Association (MPA).
The blogs in question, which included MyMusikita, were home
to 66,000 "infringing links" for illegal downloads, IFPI said.
