- Netscape founder and Web entrepreneur Marc Andreessen has partnered with
Opsware executive Ben Horowitz to create a new venture capital fund that will
provide average investments in the neighborhood of $500,000.
Andreessen first announced the fund in an interview on the Charlie Rose Show, and later confirmed it for PEHub.com. Andreessen and Horowitz had previously been partners in angel investing, and have backed 36 companies including mobile video streaming firm Qik and digital production studio EQAL over the past three years.
