Gawker, Huffington Post Top List of Most Valuable Blogging Firms

New York - Gawker Media, the New York-based publisher of popular blogs including Gawker, Jezebel, Gizmodo, Lifehacker and Jalopnik, tops a newly released list of the 25 most valuable blogging companies, as determined by 24/7 Wall St.

The rankings are based on unique visitor and page view information, advertising and estimated monthly costs.

Gawker, whose sites draw about 23 million unique visitors a month, is worth an estimated $170 million.

The Huffington Post (more than $90 million) ranks second, followed by The Drudge Report ($48 million), Perez Hilton ($32 million) and Sugar Inc. ($27 million) rounding out the top five.
