BackType Gets $300K Seed Funding for Comments Tracking

Los Angeles - BackType, a service that lets users find, follow and share comments from across the Web, has received $300,000 in seed funding from True Ventures, TechCrunch reported.

Launched in August 2008 with $15,000 from Y Combinator, BackType indexes users' comments across a range of blogs and other platforms, and makes them searchable.

A user can also place a widget on his or her website featuring comments made on sites across the Web.
