Chinese Social Network TongXue Lands $6 Million

Beijing - TongXue, a Chinese social networking site with over 10 million registered users, has raised $6 million in new financing, from investors including Tano Capital.

TongXue, whose name means "classmantes," was founded in 2006 by a Harvard Ph.D. student.

The company will use the funds primarily for product development and brand promotion.
