Mother Nature Network Acquires Plenty Magazine

Atlanta - Mother Nature Network (MNN), an environmental news and information site launched in January, said on Monday that it has acquired the assets and website of Plenty Magazine, a four-year-old, bi-monthly magazine that focuses on the "world in green."

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Vice President Al Gore was reportedly in talks to purchase Plenty in September 2008, but those talks ended late last year, according to MNN.

MNN said it plans to merge content from Plenty into its own site, which visitors to Plenty's site will be redirected to MNN.com.
