Blade Games World Raises $4M for Game Development Tools

Bellevue, Wash. - Blade Games World, the provider of an all-in-one game development engine and authoring platform, has raised $4 million in its first round of funding, led by California Technology Ventures.

Bellevue, Wash.-based Blade's Blade3D subscription-based technology works with Microsoft's XNA game development platform, allowing for easy publishing for the Xbox 360 and Windows.

The company markets versions of its technology for professional, independent and hobbyist game developers.
