Greystripe Lands $5.5M for Free, Ad-Supported Mobile GamesAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on March 11, 2009 - 7:32am.
San Francisco
- Greystripe, a distributor of free, ad-supported mobile games, announced on Wednesday
that it has closed a $5.5 million third round of financing, led by previous
backer Incubic Venture Capital.
Steamboat Ventures and Monitor Ventures also participated in the round. San Francisco-based Greystripe said it will use the new funds to continue to build mobile campaigns from online ad budgets, for clients including JP and Unilever Axe. "With a unified ad platform connecting mobile and online, the popular third screen will be able to offer Web-like measurement, such as engagement, while eventually expanding to new levels of targeting, such as location," the company said.
