Reston Va. - Google (NASD: GOOG) again led the U.S. search market in
February, conducting 63.3% of all Internet searches, according to new data
released by Internet audience measurement firm comScore.
Yahoo (NASD: YHOO) ranked second
(20.6%), followed by Microsoft (NASD: MSFT) (8.2%), Ask.com (4.1%) and AOL (NYSE: TWX) (3.9%). Google's
lead over Yahoo grew 0.7% from January.
All told, Americans conducted 13.1
billion searches on the core search engines, down 3% from the prior month.
