- IGA Worldwide, the provider of an in-game advertising network, is currently
seeking new funding and has also put the company up for sale, company chairman
Justin Townsend told VentureBeat.
Founded in 2004, New York-based IGA Worldwide has to date raised over $46 million in venture capital financing, for its service that has integrated dynamic ads inside more than 20 video game titles. IGA laid off 25% of its staff in November, leaving it with around 45 employees, Townsend told VentureBeat. The company has reportedly hired Gordian Group to assist it in possible funding or a sale process, with prospective suitors given until March 27 to submit bids.
