San Francisco
- Apple may introduce a "premium" App Store for its iPhone and iPod
touch next week, as a separate retail area for game publishers and other
developers who charge more than $1 for their wares, according to
"rumors" heard by Wired.com. The App Store recently passed 15,000 available
applications, most available for free or 99 cents. Meanwhile, Silicon Alley
Insider cited blogger John Gruber, who said he's heard that the long-desired
copy-and-paste functionality for iPhone will be "a big part of tomorrow's
announcement" from Apple.
