Mass. - Venture capital firm
General Catalyst Partners announced on Wednesday that Chris Hughes, a founder
of Facebook, has joined the firm as an entrepreneur in residence.
"Chris represents the best and brightest of our country's future," said Neil Sequeira, managing director at General Catalyst Partners. "His intelligence and passion combined to launch two technology platforms that have changed our society socially and politically." Hughes most recently served as director of online organizing for President Barack Obama's presidential campaign and directed online campaigning through the political social networking site My.BarackObama.com. General Catalyst Partners was founded in 2000 and has $1.8 billion under management.
