Showtime Debuts New Interactive TV Application

New York - CBS-owned (NYSE: CBS) premium cable TV channel Showtime Networks said on Monday that it has developed a new interactive TV application that will allow non-subscribers to sample Showtime content, and even order the premium channel directly from their TV remotes. "This self service approach is a win-win for everyone involved. The viewer can sample our hit programming, while the automated approach generates additional sales and reduces call center expenses for the operators," said Robert Hayes, senior vice president and general manager of Showtime Digital.
