Calif. - Ripple TV, the operator
of a digital content and advertising network for retail locations, announced on
Thursday that it has closed a $4 million round of venture capital funding, from
Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Trinity Ventures.
Launched in 2006, El Segundo, Calif.-based Ripple TV operates a network of digital ad screens in 15 markets that reaches an estimated monthly audience of nearly 10 million consumers. Ripple TV's screens can be found in Borders, Gelson's, Robeks, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and other retail locations. Media content partners include The New York Times, E! and CBS.
