SeeqPod Looking to License Technology in Face of LitigationAuthored by Mark Hefflinger on March 26, 2009 - 12:52pm.
San Francisco
- SeeqPod, the provider of a search engine that indexes streaming songs across
the Internet, is looking to sell its source code to third-party developers as a
means to ensure its technology lives on in the face of pending copyright
litigation from the major record labels, Wired.com reported. "This just
goes to show that when you sue technology -- or the internet -- you unleash a
powerful demon technology," a SeeqPod spokesman, who asked no to be named,
told Wired.com. "Imagine, millions of mini-SeeqPods -- and the world will
be a better place for it."
