Direct-to-Consumer Music Platform Mubito Enters Administration

Malmo, Sweden - The parent company of Mubito, a Sweden-based company that builds direct-to-consumer Web platforms for artists and record labels, has gone into administration, MusicWeek reported.

The firm's employees continue to work, as the administrator now in charge of the company seeks a buyer -- except for CEO Andrew Martyn, who has left the company.

Administrator Hans Svedberg told MusicWeek he has already been contacted by several parties interested in acquiring Mubito, which also has offices in Kiev and London.
