Los Angeles - Online video network Break.com has acquired HBOlab, a unit of Time Warner's (NYSE: TWX) HBO that produced original Internet shows, for an undisclosed sum, NewTeeVee reported.

The deal includes all of the company's existing shows, digital video production equipment, and around four employees.

Current shows on HBOlab's RunawayBox.com including "Man in the Box" and "Elevator," in addition to sketch comedy content, will continue production.

Keith Richman, CEO of Los Angeles-based Break, told NewTeeVee is looking to acquire additional start-up companies, but will likely move the focus from digital studios to "audience or advertising opportunities."
