Auto Social Networks CarDomain, StreetFire Agree to Merger

Seattle - CarDomain, a social network for auto enthusiasts, announced that it has merged with rival StreetFire.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Seattle-based CarDomain counts 3.2 million monthly unique users, while StreetFire counts 1.1 million.

StreetFire, which to date has raised a total of around $8 million in financing, says that users uploaded over 63,000 videos to its community in the past year.

TechCrunch reports that StreetFire CEO Glenn Rogers will run the newly merged company, while CarDomain founder and chairman Alex Algard will be chairman.
