Recipe Wiki Foodista Gets $500,000 From Amazon, Others

Seattle - Foodista, the developer of a wiki for recipes, has raised $500,000 in first round funding from Amazon.com (NASD: AMZN) and angel investors, TechCrunch reported.

Seattle-based Foodista was founded by Barnaby Dorfman, who previously served as a vice president at Amazon's A9 search engine unit.

The site allows users to write and edit recipes, and pulls information from Wikipedia and images from Flickr.
