Tokyo - Japanese video game publisher Konami has decided not to publish "Six Days in Fallujah," after hearing complaints from "bereaved families of soldiers, retried groups and citizens' groups in the U.S. and Europe," the Asahi Shimbun reported.

"Six Days" was developed by Raleigh, N.C.-based Atomic Games, with input from several dozen U.S. soldiers who were on the ground during the bloody operation in Iraq in 2004.

Konami had planned to publish the game in early 2010.

GamePolitics noted that Atomic will likely now seek another publisher for the title.
