- Movie studio lobbying group the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) announced
that it has named Daniel Mandil to oversee its worldwide legal affairs and anti-piracy
efforts. Mandil previously served as EVP, global general counsel and secretary
of major record label Sony BMG, and before that was a litigation partner at
Covington & Burling in New York.
