New York
- Though it didn't come to the forefront until late last month, Swine Flu
finished as the most blogged-about news topic in April, according to new
figures from Internet audience measurement firm Nielsen Online.
The subject
outdistanced Easter, Somali Pirates and the NFL Draft.
The firm called the
rankings particularly telling, since it wasn't until April 24 that the World
Health Organization issued its first Disease Outbreak Notice regarding the H1N1
virus.
The Democratic Party, Nuclear Weapons, Bea Arthur, Hugo Chavez, X-Men
Origins: Wolverine and Carrie Prejean rounded out the top 10.
