New York - HauteLook, a members-only online shopping club featuring branded goods at a 40-75% discount, announced that it has raised $10 million in new financing, led by Insight Venture Partners.

Launched in November 2007, New York-based HauteLook operates a Web marketplace where premium fashion and lifestyle brands can host 24-48 hour private sales.

"We feel fortunate to be in the market at a time where our business model is resonating with customers and we are excited to accelerate our growth along with investing into our technology to improve the member experience," said HauteLook CEO Adam Bernhard.

"The financing will also help us provide our brand partners with the best tools and functionality to help them better leverage this evolving channel."

This is very interesting!

This is very interesting! What a great idea for companies to hold private sales for members. That is very much like another site I've come across in my search for the cheap shopping online. MonkeyJar is another website that lets you earn money for every purchase you make online and you can suggest any and every store you want for them to make available. All in all, these kinds of sites are the future for shopping, I think.
