Women's Blog Network BlogHer Raises $7 Million

New York - BlogHer, an ad network and community of over 2,500 blogs focused on women, has raised $7 million in its third round of funding, All Things D reported.

New investor Azure Capital joined returning backers Venrock and Peacock Equity.

Founded in 2005, New York-based BlogHer counts more than 14 million unique monthly visitors to its network of blogs, and also operates an online ad network and real-world conference for its online community.

The company, which is not yet profitable, has now raised about $15.5 million to date.
