- Mogulus, the provider of a live video webcasting service, announced on
Tuesday that it has changed its name to Livestream, having paid $100,000 for
the domain name Livestream.com, according to DomainNews.com.
Founded in 2007,
the New York-based company has to date raised $12.7 million, from investors
including Gannett.
Livestream says more than 300,000 people have registered and
launched live video channels on the site.
Additionally, over 1,000 producers now
pay $350 per month for the premium version of its service, including C-Span, USA
Today and the World Economic Forum.
