- VoxPop.TV, a developer of pop-culture games, said that it has raised $1.5
million in its second round of funding, led by Hearst Interactive Media.
Previous investor True Ventures, which led the company's initial round in 2007, also participated. The company said that it will use the proceeds to accelerate the product and market development of its gaming platform. Founded in 2006 by Bill Armistead, Mike Derezin and Michael Hoffman, VoxPop is the developer of an online platform designed to let publishers rapidly convert their existing content into online games focused around current events and topics. Clients include CNN, Entertainment Weekly, MTV and Wired Magazine.
