Arlington, Va. - The National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) said that it has partnered with job search engine StartUpHire to collect data on venture-backed job openings in the U.S.
The organization said that StartUpHire, which launched in January, currently lists more than 10,000 jobs at more than 2,500 companies that are backed by venture capital firms.
The NVCA plans to use data from the company to track ongoing employment trends and chart economic recovery and new job creation.
As of May 15, 31% of jobs listed on the site were in the software industry, 18% in IT service and 8% in business products and services.
