Waltham, Mass.
- Forty-four years after its founding in the Boston
area, Greylock Partners, one of the oldest venture capital firms in the U.S., announced that it is relocating its
headquarters, including administrative and back office functions, to Silicon Valley.
The firm has been steadily expanding its West coast presence over the past ten years, adding partners and making investments there. Greylock said it plans to add several new positions, including partners, to its Silicon Valley office in the coming year. As part of this move, Greylock has leased a new office, now under construction, in Menlo Park. Its current West coast office is in San Mateo.
