Calif. - Good Technology, a
provider of mobile communications services, said on Wednesday that it has
acquired mobile social networking firm Intercasting Corporation for an
undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2004, San Diego-based Intercasting's ANTHEM mobile social networking platform is used by carriers including 3, Alltel, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon. The company also offers Rabble, a mobile blogging and social networking application. Good said that the acquisition will enable it to extend its reach beyond the smartphone market and into the billion-plus feature phone market.
