New York - Peer39, a developer of semantic online advertising technology, has raised $10.5 million in third round funding, TechCrunch reported.

Evergreen Venture Partners led the investment round; previous backers Canaan Partners, Dawntreader Ventures, Silicon Valley Bank and JP Morgan also participated.

New York-based Peer39's platform can analyze the content of Web pages in real-time to provide a more accurate description for the purpose of targeting advertisements.

The platform can also assess whether content on a particular page would be objectionable to prospective advertisers.
