High-Quality Download Seller HDGiants Files for Bankruptcy

Incline Village, Nev. - HDGiants, an online retailer of high-quality HD downloads of music and video content delivered directly to home entertainment systems, has filed for Ch. 11 bankruptcy protections in the state of Nevada.

 

The company, which operated under brands including HDMusic, MusicGiants and VideoGiants, provided lossless WMA music licensed from all four major record labels for $1.29 per track.

The company also had a deal with Viacom to distribute Paramount films through its VideoGiants home theater digital content delivery platform.

According to court documents, the company's largest unsecured creditors included Sony (NYSE: SNE) Music and Friendly Capital Partners, Hypebot reported.

HDGiants claimed assets and liabilities of $1 million to $10 million.
