MashLogic Lands $500,000 for Contextual Links
Menlo Park,
Calif. - MashLogic, a developer
of technology that provides contextual information about websites, has raised $500,000
in angel funding from investors SoftTech VC, About.com founder Scott Kurnit,
LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman and Wikia CEO Gil Penchina, TechCrunch reported.
Menlo Park, Calif.-based MashLogic offers browser tools
for Firefox and Internet Explorer that can change the hyperlinks on a
publisher's website to include other relevant information, such as links to
Wikipedia or LinkedIn profiles.
The company has to date raised a total of $1.4
million.
