Panasonic Introduces $799 Portable Blu-ray Player

Secaucus, N.J. - Japanese electronics firm Panasonic (NYSE: PC) on Monday introduced what it says is the first portable Blu-ray Disc player, the $799 DMP-B15. The device features an 8.9-inch WSVGA LCD screen, VIERA CAST Internet accessibility, BD Live functionality and a SD Memory Card slot. With the Internet support, the device can access content from sources including YouTube, Amazon Video-on-Demand, Picasa Web Albums and Bloomberg.
