Betaworks, TAG Acquire Majority Stake in Twitterfeed

New York - Twitterfeed, a service that publishes RSS news feeds on the Twitter microblogging service, has sold a majority stake in the company to investing and development group Betaworks and TAG, Silicon Alley Insider reported.

The company counts 170,000 users, who are publishing over 300,000 RSS feeds onto Twitter.

Twitterfeed plans to implement analytics into its service, so users can see more data on how their feeds are being used.

Betaworks has also invested in Twitter search engine Summize, as well as URL shortener bit.ly.
