- IAC (NASD: IACI), the holding company that operates Internet firms including Citysearch,
Evite and Ask.com, announced on Monday that it sold the assets of its Very
Short List cultural email newsletter to a joint venture with Observer Media
Group.
Under the terms of the deal, Observer -- publisher of the New York Observer -- will acquire majority control of the venture, while IAC will maintain a non-controlling stake. Launched in 2006, Very Short List highlights a single item each day; the list now counts 200,000 subscribers.
