Calif. - Facebook surpassed News Corp.'s (NYSE: NWS) MySpace in U.S. Web traffic for the first time ever in the month of May,
TechCrunch reported, citing data from Internet audience measurement firm
comScore. Facebook counted 70.278 million unique visitors last month, compared
to MySpace's 70.255 million.
The numbers represent a 2.8 million increase in
visitors to Facebook, and a decline of 700,000 to MySpace during the month.
Facebook passed MySpace in worldwide visitors in April 2008.
