Calif. - MySpace's former chief
marketing officer Shawn Gold is currently at work on a new venture, Cocodot,
and has raised just under $1 million in seed funding from investors including
Anthem Venture Partners and William Morris' Mail Room Fund, TechCrunch reports.
Cocodot will provide a "style-driven communication and guest management platform for people and brands to create celebrations." Gold, who was previously president of Intermix Media and Weblogs, Inc., told TechCrunch that Cocodot will soon announce several alliances with top consumer brands. The service is expected to launch next September.
